How to Prepare for Your New Roof

When getting your roof replaced, it is important to take certain precautions and steps ahead of time to ensure you have the most positive experience. Here at Schroeder Roofing and Gutters we take pride in handling all our jobs with care and providing you with the information you need. Below are some tips you should know before getting your new roof installed.

Prepping Your House

When setting up a roofing installation, the first step to being prepared is getting the area cleared. We recommended mowing your yard right before due to the excessive amount of nails used. We do our best to clean up after, however trimming your grass will make it easier for us to find spare ones that may have fallen. Another important step is removing all breakable potted plants, outdoor decor, or furniture from the area. This is to avoid any potential damage from excess nails or debris.

Satellite Dishes & Antennas

Understand that our roofers don’t have the proper training to re-calibrate your satellite dishes and antennas, therefore, they may not always be put back on correctly. Some older houses may also have antennas on them that are no longer in use. Make sure to speak with your roofers before the installation process is started about what you wish to do with these things.

Be Patient with Us

Here at Schroeder Roofing, we make it our goal to cater to all our customers' needs and give them the roof that they want! However, it is not uncommon to run into roadblocks along the way. We ask that you be patient with us and in return we will do our best to be as efficient and helpful as possible. Problems will not always arise, but when they do, we aim to work with you to find a solution.

Keep an Open Line of Communication

We ask that with any questions, concerns or changes you may have, that you let your project manager know right away. If our crew left an excessive amount of nails after the job is done, give us a call and we will come do another sweep. We are happy to work with you and want your experience to be a good one!
